Swim lessons are held outdoors in my private backyard pool at:

The Schönwald pool, built personally by my husband and me in 2022, is an above-ground, oval pool measuring 43 feet long and 21 feet wide. It has comfortable entry steps and is 4 feet deep throughout, with an elevated platform that provides a shallow area to stand or sit in the water. The pool has a saltwater conversion system and is bonded and grounded, exceeding Orange County electrical standards for safety. Aquatic Center features include:
- Huge, wraparound pool deck with comfortable seating in sun and shade
- Private, outdoor, hot water shower with changing area
- Private, outdoor, gender-neutral, low impact restroom with space for changing clothes and diapers
- Wood-burning stove and solar cover to help heat the pool
- Expansive patio with shade cabana and bench swing
- Shaded water table, wading pool, and mister to help keep waiting family members cool
- Wifi and electricity for charging devices (many parents work during their child's lessons)
- Pool rental options for current students and alums wishing to bring their friends
Schönwald Aquatic Center is in a beautiful, natural setting surrounded by hardwood forest, with no visible neighbors. In addition to swimming, there are lots of other things to enjoy:
